MEPs' questions are submitted to the office of the president of the Parliament, which is responsible for relaying them to a unit in the Commission secretariat-general solely dedicated to parliamentary questions.The questions are then relayed to the appropriate Commission department and commissioner's cabinet which will draft an answer.
